In our latest Writers Corner interview, Christopher talks with none other than famed YA author, Bruce Coville. Together they discuss how Bruce’s classic novel, Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher, inspired Christopher to write Eragon. Also, Bruce shares a few of his own sources of creativity and writing tips, along with how he became an author and why he loves to write for children.
Be sure to check out Bruce’s website, Twitter, and Facebook feeds. The former gravedigger, toymaker, teacher, cookware salesman, and assembly line worker has a lot of neat content to share! Readers interested in sampling his vast collection of work may wish to begin with My Teacher is an Alien and, of course, Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher. And don’t forget to pick up a copy of Bruce’s latest book, Diary of a Mad Brownie—soon to be known as Cursed—which Christopher liked so much he even blurbed!
