Christopher, his sister, Angela, and I all piled into the car to start the trek over to Missoula, a roughly four hour drive over several mountain passes, including the Continental Divide. The trip was relatively uneventful, though it rained hard a good portion of the way. It can be easy to forget the natural beauty this state offers—even for Christopher, who used Paradise Valley as his inspiration for Palancar Valley—but a quick road trip through Montana always serves as a reminder about just how lucky we are to live here.
We arrived in once piece and immediately launched into a flurry of non-stop activity for a total of four days. It was a busy convention! Coffee made its way onto our “Life Necessities” list so we could function at our best. Fans from around the nation and Canada poured through the venue’s doors, costumes and Medieval replica weaponry in hand. Panels, gaming sessions, mock duels, costume contests, bow and arrow range, and books galore were readily available . . . and, of course, some of your favorite authors! Here are some pics of the events:
A big thank you to all the fans who made it out to visit with Christopher. You guys make the work worth it, and we look forward to seeing you the next time around!
Cheers,
Immanuela
p.s. We got some great interviews with some amazing writers. Keep an eye out for the clips over the next few months.
